The Ancón hill is a 199 m elevation located in the city of Panama and is part of the Ancón district. Its name comes from the "Ancón Site", a name given in reference to the ancón that was formed on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. This hill was under the jurisdiction of the United States, as part of the Panama Canal Zone, for much of the 20th century. Although it is located within Panama City, it is not an urbanized area.
